Altostatus Undulatus

Forming ahead of a band of rain this morning.

 This is where warm and moist upper air coming in from France is riding over cool and damp surface air coming in from the North Sea - the end result is this "wave-type" effect on it's cloud base.

Curly Wurly

Did a cheeky bit of light painting after having visited a friend earlier on this evening. However, I was only able to do the one attempt as the local wildlife were quite active - well, it is a Friday night!

Using a load of old plug-in-the-ear headphones, a couple of stereo cables, an old vinyl single, a piece of red paper and my imagination.

The Circle Of Light

Had fun with my TZ45, a cheap LED torch and a piece of string. Helped that the evening itself was calm, mild and dry.

St George's Day at Folkestone

Pretty much sums it up, really.

Spotted at my street today. Actually, this flag was put up when "Eng-er-land" got into the Semi-Finals in the World Cup a few years ago - and it had remained there since then. Some people are quite lazy.

When Spock Goes Bad

Had some fun with my D3100, a couple of Star Trek figures and Paint Shop Pro 9 while waiting for the dinner to be ready.

ADDITIONAL NOTE: It's 19th April as I type this and I have decided to do an improved version, with a bit more drama and colour.

April Shower. Again

A receding thunderhead as viewed from my hobby room at 1 pm. That storm had dumped heavy hail over Hythe and Sellinge - so heavy it made it look like snow had fallen and settled!

Spotted this classic cumulonimbus formation, complete with an ice anvil top, while on a bike ride today. That contained all the hallmarks of April showers.

"Old" Folkestone during a spell of fine weather. I also tried to create that old style "albumen" type photo, a format commonly used in at the tail end of the 19th Century.
