Fungus

I'm not sure which is the more unusual feature about this photo, these giant mushroom sprouting in the grass verge at the front of my house or there was actual sunshine at that time!

Sleepy Jet

 

 

 

Jet is going through a sleepy phase, especially now that he has his own favourite blanket.

. . . and an October sun set.

 

 

As viewed from my west-facing hobby room window. I tend to do well for sunsets at this time of the year now that the sun sets to the south west offering a better view of it.

October Sun Rise

 

 

Spotted this high based sunrise upon awakening at 6.30 am this morning. The old saying "Red sky in morning, sailors warning . . . " had rung true on this occasion as the weather turned more overcast and changeable later on in the day thus marked the end of a month-long dry and warm spell (this September was the driest and warmest on record).

A genuine Banksy artwork had appeared at Folkestone out of the blue, and is only around the corner from my house. When I tried to take a photo, I couldn't get a clear shot due to the crowd milling around the artwork so I had to improvise a little with the camera.
