Fool's Gold
Ever since a well known artist/photographer revealed that he had buried £10,000 of gold pieces in Folkestone Harbour, suddenly the normally ignored part of the beach became swamped with would-be prospectors. It even was a nationwide media thing.

The Memorial Arch
An experimental set of photos taken at the Leas today. Two of those photos were taken on a wide angle lens with a ND1000 filter attached to it, thus producing up to 60 seconds long exposures even in broad daylight. That has the effect of blurring out people (note the ghostly bits) as well as picking out the flow of the clouds. The third photo used the dreaded HDR method.

The Memorial Arch
Folkestone now has a new landmark. This is in memory of soldiers who passed through that location on the way to France in the Great War a hundred years ago.
The top image is facing east (towards France) and the bottom one faces west.
