Caught the last vestiges of noctilucent clouds (NLC) over Folkestone this evening. The NLCs were actually brighter earlier on but by the time I got the drone out, fired up and in the air, I only caught the tail end of it.
Noctilucent clouds are super high cloud (50 miles up) where their composition are still relatively unknown but still lit up by the midnight sun giving them that ghostly ethereal glow. Tend to occur between June and August.

Facing My Fear
Took The Flying Gherkin on a 20 miles bike ride today and my drone came along with me. I faced my nemesis that is the former tomato greenhouse workplace at Farthing Common.
PS: Like my new cycling sunglasses? Makes me look like a wasp.

June Storm
Goes without saying that was a lively evening, it lasted one & a half hour and 25 mm of rain fell in that time here at Folkestone Harbour. While it was well forecast, apparently Dover had it worse as the storm system picked up strength as it trundled north eastwards along south Kent.

June Full Moon
A dirty looking midnight full moon over the harbour area, the bright light to the bottom right corner in second photo is the remnants of a collapsing star.

Dusk Hues At Folkestone Harbour
I took these two photos on my iSamsony smartbone a week ago and then forgot about them - until today.

June Starts With A Bang
Braved the wind and cold to stand on a wet beach with my trusty Nikon D7000 and capture some fireworks over Folkestone Harbour Arm this evening.
