A year ago I took a "Rays Of Hope" photo using my smartphone. I returned to the same location at East Cliff Sands (Folkestone) this morning with the same idea to mind, but this time with my Big Camera (Nikon D7000) and 10 mm wide angle lens. It wasn't until I viewed the photo on my PC afterwards when I noticed the second "star".
Again, no AI enhancements. Just a bit of manual post-processing to bring the photo out a bit.
Braved the biting cold wind to revive my photography mojo at Folkestone Harbour this evening.
While on a photography mission at the Folkestone Harbour Arm, I quickly captured this last minute surprise coloured sunset on my iSamsony smartbone.
PS: Not photoshopped and no AI enhancements. Just dropped down the exposure on the camera app but the drawback with using the fake zoom on a smartphone is the auto sharpening/pixelation effect. But timed it right with the random courting couple.
The glow right in the middle of the grass area is a heiligenschein. Shows up when sunlight directly behind the observer is refracted inside millions of tiny dewdrops on grass and shone back to line of vision, the same principle applies to car headlights shining onto road signs made up of tiny tiny glass crystals giving them the appearance of glowing in the dark.
An old school friend came to stay with me for a couple of days. He tried to get me out of my comfort zone by getting around my town and then Dover, I took it as an opportunity to get my photography mojo flowing. I won't lie to you, I need therapy to get over this therapy
Remembrance at Folkestone Harbour. This is where thousands of troops got onto cross-channel boats on way to battle fields at France during The Great War.
Many of them never came back.
