Walk On The Wild Side

After having spotted a hedgehog in my back yard for the first time in my 40 years of living in the same house.

White Bluebells?

Or whitebells? Came across them on this fine Spring-like Sunday while taking a short cut through St Eanswythe's church on the way home from the shops. As usual I only had my iSamsony smartphone on me.

Spring Has Sprung Back

A tree at a nearby car park being in full bloom, thankfully the bloom has survived the recent wintry spell and it only lasts for a few days.

Winds Of Change

Today, I have been on a rare bike ride to collect a cat ornament at Hythe while my sister sat with mother. After 11 miles on a saddle, my bum and legs are now feeling like jelly.
It is also the first time I've seen the building works going on at the beach side near Folkestone Harbour, it was a bit jarring having seen it with my own eyes. The winds of change are afoot, but will it be for the better?

All of these photos were taken on my iSamSony smartphone.

Moon Halo

Have just captured this moon halo on my GoPro 8 here at Folkestone before the general cloud and Sahara dust-laden rain turn up. Can even see a secondary one (like an offset tangent).

A moon (and sun) halo is made up of light being refracted in ice crystals that makes up high level cirrostratus, usually occurs ahead of an advancing warm front.

A bit of light hearted comedy here at good ol' Folkestone.

Wild Ride

Social media can be a wild and lawless place at times.

Or I'm trying to forecast the weather for the rest of this winter.

"Snow" Joke

Did this for a couple who lives in the Scottish Highlands.

Happy New Year.

Here's to many more new materials, be in the form of my photos and doodles, along with hoping we get to have the weather we want instead of the usual regular wind and rain.

Festive Greetings.

Here is this year's obligatory festive doodle.

A Stab In The Dark

As a new COVID virus variant is apparently running wild in the UK with daily new cases in the thousands, the government has stepped up the vaccine programme - and yet night clubs and late night bars are still allowed to stay open.

This Time Of The Year

With that nip in the air.

Have borrowed the joke from the internet but the drawing style is completely my own.

Art Failure

Did this for my sister's friend who apparently isn't very good at arts and crafts, most likely due to also being a foster mother to several cats.

For Heaven's Sake

Don't worry, even though the guy to the left is based on someone I know, no one has passed away.

Christmas Lights

Lights attached to a copse of trees at Payers Park here at Folkestone did look pretty on this cold and damp evening, thought it was worth a detour with my Sony camera.

To Be Frank

Here is this year's obligatory Halloween doodle, but I think those living at my home town may get this.

Off The Rails

This joke is about 40 years too late where you may have to be of a certain age and a nerd to even get it. This idea came to me after hearing the South East rail network will be re-nationalised . . . and I love drawing trains.

The Future Of Transport

As the fuel shortage crisis continues.

Drink Problem

A boy living next door certainly does, so I decided to turn it into the style of Andy Capp. Yes, I have too much time on my hands.

Summer's Last Gasp

Was on my way to Wilko at Folkestone when the light from the late and low afternoon sun triggered off the old photography mojo inside me, but I was armed only with my Samsung S9 smartphone.

Spotted next door's elderly black cat lurking about in my front garden this evening.
