Changes Are Afoot

After the recent death of The Queen, we now have a king - along with the many subtle changes that will follow.

As we are about to experience a spell of hot weather.

Boris Resigns

I think this is pretty self explanatory.

Filler Picture

Just been to the dentist this morning and had a tooth cavity filled in - cost me £200! But it was quite a bit one, mind you.

Also a good excuse to show this doodle done by me in 2013.

Yet Another Pretty Sunset.

Same kind of setting and location as the last one a couple of weeks ago.

I should make more of an effort to go further afield than my hobby room but coloured sunsets are unpredictable and even if I do see one forming I am unable to leave my elderly mother on her own.

A Rose By Any Other Name

Is it me or red seems to be the most difficult colour to digitally capture and process? Even on decent DSLR cameras and then it comes out looking worse on social media via their own image compression.

Design

Did this logo for a facebook friend. I'm not at all a pro or even a designer where this was done for fun.

Another Pretty Sunset.

Again, taken from the relative safety of my famed west-facing hobby room here at Folkestone harbour this evening.

Captured 35028 Clan Line as she took Shakespeare Cliffs by storm on a fine Saturday afternoon.

Garden Leave

Did this doodle for someone on FB trying to start up his own gardening business. Done only just for fun.

Steel Skies And A Bow

The sky came over all stormy looking for a time here at Folkestone, so I used it for a quick photo opportunity with my Iron Giant figure. Then later on in the day I was greeted by a vivid looking rainbow, thus rounded off what has been an interesting weather day.

Here We Go Again?

As we seem to be finally coming out the other side of the Covid pandemic, we appears to be having another new health scare in the form of monkeypox.

Evening Sky

Getting a nice view of the sky from my famed west-facing hobby room window now that the rotted rowan tree and overgrown conifer tree are gone.

St Eanswythe's Chuch.

Today I had a quick wander around inside St Eanswythe's Church near my house in Folkestone with my (admittingly new) iSamsony smartbone.

Fun fact: When I kept trying to line everything up, I noticed that the church isn't exactly in a straight line. The vicar said the Altar end represents the way St Eanswythe used to tilt her head in wonder. I spent the rest of the day actually being in awe of that fact!

The Old, The New And Something In Between

Taken at Tontine Street leading to the new skate park here at Folkestone.

Walk On The Wild Side

After having spotted a hedgehog in my back yard for the first time in my 40 years of living in the same house.

White Bluebells?

Or whitebells? Came across them on this fine Spring-like Sunday while taking a short cut through St Eanswythe's church on the way home from the shops. As usual I only had my iSamsony smartphone on me.

Spring Has Sprung Back

A tree at a nearby car park being in full bloom, thankfully the bloom has survived the recent wintry spell and it only lasts for a few days.

Winds Of Change

Today, I have been on a rare bike ride to collect a cat ornament at Hythe while my sister sat with mother. After 11 miles on a saddle, my bum and legs are now feeling like jelly.
It is also the first time I've seen the building works going on at the beach side near Folkestone Harbour, it was a bit jarring having seen it with my own eyes. The winds of change are afoot, but will it be for the better?

All of these photos were taken on my iSamSony smartphone.
