The Trouble With Tribbles

 My sister spotted a whole load of Star Trek figures in . . . of all places . . . a local B & M store here at Folkestone. Naturally, me being a life-long Trekker told her to get all of them. 
  This is just a quick photo as my proper DSLR camera needs charging up, will do a decent set up at a later time.

The Chase

I have done a doodle of The Chase team a few years ago but two more new members were added since then, so here is an updated version of my favourite teatime programme. It was done for fun on a chilly Sunday.

Look Mum No Computer

If you have never heard of Look Mum No Computer on Youtube then this will have gone right over your head but I have become a fan of his videos lately and I couldn't resist doing a caricature of Sam Battle the host. This idea became an itch that needed to be scratched.

23rd Century Man

Taken on a Samsung S9 smartphone, subject was a toy figure backlit by a cheap laser disco light and the mist was provided by nearly a whole can of Sure BO spray.

Spring appears to have arrived early this year and bum-ble bees are already out & about.

Moon Halo

As viewed from the relative safety of my famed west-facing front garden at Folkestone and taken on a Go Pro. A moon halo is caused by moonlight being refracted by ice needles that makes up thin cirrostratus cloud.

Snow & An Abandoned Railway

 

It may have stopped snowing for now here at Folkestone, but it is still freezing cold.

Snow Day

 

Finally, for the first time in 8 years it has snowed properly here at Folkestone. I measured the snow depth during a break in the snow and it came to 2 inches (5 cms) or 1/4 of an Action Man.

Covid Folkestone

Walked through a near-deserted town centre to pick up a "click and collect" item from a ship and I took these photos on my Samsung S9+ for personal historical reference. First time I've been into the town centre since before Christmas and it was like something out of "28 Days Later". 

Out With The Old, In With The New

While I do realise Bladerunner 2020 has been a long, difficult and tiring year for many of us thanks to the COVID crisis and it's only natural for us to hope for the better come the new year, thankfully (and mercifully) I and my elderly mother got through the past year pretty much unscathed (touch wood) and I hope that will continue into 2021.

To be honest, the doodle is me being apprehensive about the fallout post-COVID times.
