Evening Cloudscape

Lovely cloudscape this evening, as viewed from my hobby room window. Pity about the lack of a red sun set, though.

My life . . .

. . . on a wall. And if you look at some of the mirror pictures, you can see more pictures on the other end of the room.
The mind of an obsessive? Or I just like my photos and pictures, although I am fast running out of space to put any more pictures up!
But there's a theme behind all this, what you see on that wall represents all the passions in my life (as well as the obvious photography part, there's Star Trek, weather, cartoons, etc, etc).

A couple of randoms . . .

. . . taken in the past week.
The first one is Chad the cat, soaking up the bit of sunshine that beamed through the front door.
The second image shows a rather confusing sign set up spotted at a roundabout at Cheriton. The sign in front says that a diversion ends . . . yet the sign behind indicates that there is a diversion. Ideal for people driving around in circles?

Superior Mirage

Spotted this stunning example of a "superior mirage" while on a bike ride along Sandgate. It's caused by hot air trying to heat up what is still a very cold English Channel. In the process light gets refracted and you end up with this optical illusion.
An "inferior mirage" is the traditional type you see on hot road surfaces being heated up rapidly by the sun but the air above is cooler, the end result is that "fake water" look.

A Day In The Life Of Me

Needless to say it made for an excellent photography day, despiting having had a brutal day at work.
I always make time for my camera. Once my shutter finger start to twitch, it has to be sorted out.
All six photos have been taken with my Fuji S5600 and they run in the correct chronological order (5.30 am for the first two, 2.45 pm for the middle two and 3.30 pm for the last two).

Lazy Puss

When I eventually shuffle off this mortal coil (hopefully it'll be aaaaaages before that'll happen), I know what I want to come back as.
Funny how cats like Chad seek out any bits of sunshine that leaks into the house and then position themselves in it. He even moves along with that sun inch by inch through the day.

Tornado

Captured Tornado at Folkestone Warren as she thundered her way towards Folkestone. While the shot in itself looks pleasing enough, I really struggled with the general lighting as it became very gloomy and overcast at that time.
So, which one does work? The colour one, or the greyscaled one?

Golden Sunrise

Stumbled across this golden sunrise while on my way to work at 5.30 am.

A Cheeky Tomato!

I've always said that them tomatoes are a pain in the arse. Well, you'd think the same thing if you had spent the past 18 years working with them in a huge greenhouse.

Copper Sunset

Captured this quick little sunset only a few minutes ago at typing this comment.

On The Fence

Maybe I am fencing for comments on my photos, but just like the way this sheep fencing caught the early morning sunlight.

Morning Glow

Oh no, yet another early morning sun rise photo. Lovely. But I've captured this one on my way to work at 5.30 am. At this point the sun was juuuust about to rise above this hill.

Moody One

All it needed was a Nikon D40, sunlight streaming into my hobby room, a cheeky contrast boost on the photo itself . . . and viloa . . . one smouldering moody image.

Lieutenant Pigeon?

I know I want to see more in the way of migrant birds in my greenhouse workplace, but this ain't what I had in mind.
This winged rat somehow got inside the greenhouse I was working in. I couldn't catch the bugger after I took this photo, so I've left it in there where it will perish anyway (as it'll succumb to starvation and the heat).
Oh, and I got the idea for this photo's title from this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vy32skBSHs0
