Afternoon Haze

Like the way the afternoon sunshine cutted into what was a rather smoky work's portakabin.

Rings Of Snow

The major blizzard (!) we had this morning produced this. Wonder why the centre is clear of snow?

Black Ice

This os actually a cardboard backing after I lifted a frozen pizza off it.

Packed Up

Decided to break my HDR cherry and be more experimental in my photography. This is the work's now-disused packhouse taken earlier on today. These are actually three photos taken at seperate exposures and merged together using a trial HDR software type thing. Then finally gave thwm a spit and polish up using lightroom. What you are seeing here are two different variations. Yes, I'm having a lot of spare time at the moment. Actually, the more I look at them two photos, the more they look like stills from Half Life, which isn't a bad thing in my eyes.

Disused Greenhouses

Went for a walk what are now effectively disused greenhouses. It's where my workplace has been sold off to a "mystery buyer" but nothing are growing in them greenhouses at the moment.

Exhaust Droplets

Rain water droplets gathered on a freshly polished chrome surface of my motorbike's rear exhaust system.

Hospitable Hospital

The local hospital, now abandoned. Tried to reflect it in this photo.

Flood

Our Britush Winter continues in a format it does best . . . wet.

Hill Fog

Here's a nice example of "hill fog" taken earlier on today - as per my Cloud Master forecast. It's where the base of a stratus cloud layer becomes low enough to cover high ground (150 metres above sea level and higher), hence the term "hill fog".

Ray Of Hope

Trying to break the landscape photography drought with this photo. Turbines over Romney Marsh as viewed from my hilltop workplace earlier on today.

Moon And Jupiter

Moon and Jupiter conjunction, taken only moments ago. Uranus's nearby somewhere but the light pollution courtesy of ASDA's blotted that out.

Bored At Work

Not getting much in the way of action photography at my workplace at the moment. It's where the greenhouse workplace I'm working in is closing up and the workload had dried up, hence this image of all of us sitting around not doing very much.

Old Sea Dog

"Oh aye, son. I once caught a fish as big as a horse, but it escaped with my right arm". A sure sign I've lived near the coast for years. But the funny thing is that I absolutely hate boats!

USS Enterprise

Am a bit bored, so thought I'd give myself an excercise on lighting. I think we're all more than familiar with the subject itself.

New Year Chinese Lanterns

The first photos of 2011! The two photos are ultra long exposures (60 seconds using my Lumix TZ8) of the hundreds of chinese lanterns that floated over my house under a gentle NW airstream. It took place shortly after midnight.
