The camera on my new N8 mobile continues to astound me. This is one half of a friend, Emma's, twins having a right giggle.

In The Think Of Things

This is Adam Dowling, our local radio DJ, mingling amongst the locals at a charity event. Unfortunately, on this occasion the lighting and weather conditions was very poor that this was the best out of a bad bunch of photos.

Evening Skies

At this rate, I might as well sell my DSLR camera kit if the Nokia N8 carry on being capable of taking photos like this. Yes, this was taken on a mobile phone.

What A Load Of . . .

. . . Compost! We haven't got much work on, really (!) This is used compost growbags waiting to be emptied and disposed of at my workplace.

Angel Of The South

They may have the Angel Of The North "oop norf", but here's our Angel Of The South. This is me standing on a huge mound of road gritting - all to be moved into the greenhouses. Wish me luck, I may be some time.

Golden Mid-Winter Sunrise

This morning's sunrise, just off Cheriton. The photo is straight out of the camera, no lightroom-type alterations or enhancements was carried out on the photo. Note that bit of ray above the sun? That's called a sun pillar, caused by light being refracted inside millions of little ice crystals high up in the atmosphere.

Rock Skull

Aha. FINALLY, so that's where my photography mojo went. Found it at my greenhouse workplace. An alien skull? Remains of Popeye? Or just an oddly shaped bit of flint? Either or, just thought it made for an interesting bit of still life.

Let Sleeping Cat Lie

Chad doing best what cats are at. I think it's fair to say that he was enjoying the heat radiating from the three monitors as well as the overhead reading lamp.

Pheasant

Managed to get up close to a pheasant to get a full crop shot, something I haven't been able to do in the past. Unfortunately conditions was very dull with poor lighting at the time. What is it with them birds that they are quite happy to get in the way when you're driving along on the road, but they fly away when you get any closer than 500 meters if you creep up on then with camera in hand?

Mid-Winter Mist

Finally, the first low-lying morning mist of the year! Not particularly vivid, but it was there at my favourite frost hollow while on my way to work this morning.

Convergence

Thought I'd have a rummage through my camera memory cards . . . and came across a bunch of long-since forgotten snow photos taken back in December. This one sprang out the most so I gave it a spit and polish and now I'm showing it in here. Actually, I can't believe this photo was taken two months ago. This winter will be remembered as the one that shot it's load too early and hadn't recovered since then.

Jack Frost Strikes Again

This is a Jack Frost type formation seen on the greenhouse workplace's glass this morning. The effect occurred right across four acre's worth.

After The Rain

I like the way them little droplets clung onto these leaves (caused by surface tension). They looked like little LED lights in this morning's sunshine.
