This afternoon an outdoor classic car display took place near the seafront. I'm not that much of a car lover but the nice weather caused my shutter button finger to itch again.
An experiment with indoors light painting using a fibre optic lamp (50p from a boot fair). It's all completely photographed and not computer generated paintshop stuff (apart from the halo effect).
Took myself right out into the middle of nowhere on a dark evening, then did a nifty bit of "light painting" using a LED torch on my new motorbike and captured it all under a 30-second long-exposure setting with my camera.
In the 30 years of living in my current address I have been witness to some strange sights, but this one will take some beating. Snapped these two as they walked by my house.
Finally, a break in this dull and cloudy weather had got me motivated enough to take some "sexy" shots of my new motorbike - purchased only two days ago.
Might as well catch it while she's still in a fresh-out-of-the-showroom condition!
Rested my battered but trusty S5600 on my bike saddle to get this photo (as I didn't have a tripod on me). I'm surprised I didn't get arrested under the terrorist act as there were loads of police cars flanking the area.
My name is Ian D J and live at Folkestone, Kent. But, am I a professional cartoonist? Am I really a pro photographer? Do I get paid by the Met Office to provide weather forecasts? The answer to all three questions are actually no. Doodling, digital photography and meteorology are all things I do just for fun as well as keeping myself occupied, I've been doing all three favourite subjects for as long as I can remember where they all are completely self-taught.
