Went on a secret photography mission and got these fountain shots. It is literally only a stone's throw from my house but I was a bit worried about being out there with my expensive camera!
Went on a bike ride, and naturally the camera tagged along with me. It felt a real proper summer's day rather than as a stormy Autumn one! Even got sunburnt in the process.
The photos shown in here are in the correct chronological order, with the first photo taken at the beginning of the bike ride to the last one at the end of the journey two hours later.
Actually, the original idea was to take shots of a falling satellite but since none were forthcoming, I took some long exposure night time shots of the beach/harbour area while I was at it.
While checking out the area for a Christening photoshoot, I couldn't resist fitting in a HDR session while I was at it.
This is St Peter's Church, near the harbour (about a five minutes walk from my house). I'm fast running out of local churches to test my HDR mettle with!
Just like the other morning, a gap in the uniform cloud sheet had delivered this sunrise. But this time I was more prepared for it as I was on the beach itself by the time the sun rose above the horizon.
Upon awakening at 6.15 am and looking out a window, I noticed a little gap at the uniform stratocumulus layer at at the horizon where I expected the sun to rise, so I grabbed the camera and went down to the harbour area. As you can see, the result are pleasing.
My name is Ian D J and live at Folkestone, Kent. But, am I a professional cartoonist? Am I really a pro photographer? Do I get paid by the Met Office to provide weather forecasts? The answer to all three questions are actually no. Doodling, digital photography and meteorology are all things I do just for fun as well as keeping myself occupied, I've been doing all three favourite subjects for as long as I can remember where they all are completely self-taught.
