It goes without saying 2024 has been an emotional year with personal changes since my mum went into a care home. It was hard at first but if it wasn't for the support put in place thanks to my sister, I would have gone under. Now I'm grateful to have been given a second chance and that is something I want to build on in 2025.

Had an unforecast snow flurry here at Folkestone today. Sadly, it was only artificial stuff that came from a snow making machine at a top floor window, but guess it is the nearest thing I'll ever get to see snow around here these days.
It has been virtually overcast for over a week. Last time I saw the sun was seven days ago.
