Handfasting Ceremony

I was the "official" photographer for a friend's Handfasting Ceremony. The event took place at a local coastal park on a fine and warm afternoon.

Holy Monday

Decided to begin the new working week by revisiting a local church.

Magic Morning

A hot and sticky night had caused me to get out of bed at 3.30 am. As a result I decided to go for an early morning stroll around the beach . . . just as well that I had the mind set to bring the camera with me!

Beach Scene

A classic beach scene taken at 3 pm today as the warm spell continues.

Ant Attack

The annual ambush by the flying ants. It kicked off today during this warm and sunny spell.

I Can See A . . .

. . . Rainbow! Not seen one of those in donkey's years. This was spotted during a day of heavy showers and brief sunny spells.

Holding The Torch

The Olympic Torch passed through our town today. Yes, it was as dark as it looked at that time - even though it was early afternoon time in July!

Stormy Skies

The past couple of days has been excellent for stormy looking skies.

Approaching Storm

This was taken from my hobby room window in the evening. This rounded off what has been a changeable day involving thunder showers and sunny spells.

All At Sea

So it's true that worse things do happen out at sea. This is a cluster of thunderheads that hung over the french coast for most of today.

Another Light Spirograph

This was done in one take using two LED lights (one red and one purple) attached to the same string hanging from the ceiling.

Stormy Sky

Captured this moody looking cloudscape as a weak thunderstorm passed close by. It was as dark as it looked at 3 pm on what is the "longest day" of the year - the day with the longest amount of daylight!

Just had a play about with one of the photos taken last night.

Light Spirographs

Thought I'd try and get my experimental photography mojo back by doing some light spirographing. It involved a cheap small LED light being hung from the ceiling using a length of cotton thread, I then let it swing around while the camera captured the light using extra long exposure settings.

Breeding Sequence

My nephew, Martin, is one half of a rap duo where they write and sing their own songs.

Red Sky In Morning

Been ages since I saw one of those, but it was only when I happened to have woken up at 4.15 am to respond to the call of nature and noticed the redness through a window.

The Air Show 2012

After a nine years absence, the Air Show returned to Folkestone. It used to be an an annual event but the Twin Towers disaster put paid to it - until now.
